Hi, I am Anna, and together with my husband Tom and our three small boys George, Harry and Toby, we make up Hanley House. We moved from a Warwick townhouse for the rural dream and the good life in 2022, wanting our boys to have space to run and for our then only wanted chickens and home grown produce to come to life. We bought the run-down pub in May, heavily pregnant but raring to go with our vision and tool belts. I quit my job as a secondary school teacher, taking the plunge into project management, interior designer and labourer!

It was an absolutely crazy few years, incredibly hard work with a few tears along the way, and yet such fun and so rewarding. We’ve certainly enjoyed getting our hands dirty, Tom with his passion for DIY and buying tools and I’ve embraced my passion for playful and quirky interior design. And in April 2025, we completed all the commercial renovations! What a celebration. We are so proud of the spaces we have created for you all and cannot wait for you to come and stay. We’ve now got the dreamed of chickens and vegetable beds- perfect.
